Whats it for?

Metal Batten Bar is specifically designed to be used for "Pinning down" your EPDM membrane and flashing details as specified in Firestone Specifications and Details

This bar is normally used when joining your EPDM to another membrane, like felt, etc.

We strongly recommend that you use the Batten Bar, then use a Batten Cover Strip or Seam Tape over the top for a water tight seal.

How to Apply?

You must attach Batten Bar to the roof substrate or penetration using the appropiate Firestone or Roofing Warehouse Fasteners. You must make sure that you dont overdrive or underdrive the fasteners.
Start at one end of the Batten bar and screw/fasten towards the other end to ensure there is now bowing between the fasteners.
